Crooked Finger is a private loft on Charles St where a small crew of Halifax tattooers work across bold traditional, fine black-and-grey, colour and folky, story-driven pieces, at the pace real custom work deserves.
Founded by twin sisters Charlotte and Victoria Brumwell, Crooked Finger treats tattooing as one practice among many, sharing the loft with textile, tufting and mural work. It's a maximalist, gallery-walled space built on fine art, individual expression and a tight-knit Halifax community. You're booked one-to-one with the artist whose hand fits your idea.

Crooked Finger
Crooked Finger opened in 2022 in Halifax's North End, the city's creative core. Lead artist Charlotte Brumwell (Gin Wolf) brings more than a decade in the local scene; her twin Victoria (Little Brummie), an NSCAD-trained maker, splits her time between tattooing and textile art in the same room. The studio is named for the sisters' late father, a quiet reminder that the best tattoos carry a story.

Your piece is drawn for the spot it will live on, then refined together until it is right.
A clean station, a steady hand, and a comfortable pace from first line to last.
Clear care notes so a fresh piece settles and heals exactly the way it was drawn.
